Excerpt from Chapter Eight
Robert said, "Victoria, I personally do not think that I can just sit by and witness the passing away of my son, and I am extremely confused about our marriage, as we have seemed to have drifted apart."
He added, "I will support you and Bobby financially in any way that I can, but I must ask for a divorce!"
Victoria replied, "You coward!" "How could you not be here for your son, at a time when he needs you the most? And, as far as us drifting apart, it might have something to do with your extra-marital affairs!"
Robert defensively replied, "What makes you think that?"
She said, "A master never reveals her secrets. Besides, in this case, it wasn't a matter of finding lipstick on your collar."
Robert started to respond, but was quickly hushed, when Victoria stated,
"I was brought up in such a manner to bow my head to my God and my Country, but to no man."
Robert was speechless.
Victoria said, "Robert, you do what you must do and I will do the same!"
